That show originates at iHeart’s “96.9 The Game” 740 WYGM Orlando. Bianchi, who also serves as a sports columnist at the Orlando Sentinel, previously wrote for Jacksonville’s Florida Times-Union. Radio Training Network has launched its Christian AC “Joy-FM” network on Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting’s 88.1 WCRJ Jacksonville. Joy-FM replaces Educational Media Foundation’s Christian CHR “Air 1” on the 88.1 signal. That network is still available in the market on 89.5 W208AV San Jose and 90.9 WJKV-HD2. The station becomes the third Christian AC in the market along with EMF’s “K-Love” on 90.9 WJKV and Chesapeake-Portsmouth’s own “100.7 The Promise” WMUV.
Cox Enterprises has announced that it is exploring its strategic options for its 14 television stations in regards to selling, merging with another operator, or partnering with another to manage. Cox currently owns or operates fourteen stations across ten markets. In five of those markets: Atlanta, Dayton, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tulsa it also operates a radio cluster whose management is completely intertwined with the television stations. Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting has flipped half of its Christian AC “The Promise” simulcast in Jacksonville to Classic Country. The “Jax Country” format that debuted on 105.3 WYKB Fernandina Beach in October 2017 is now simulcasting on 94.1 WSOS-FM Fruit Cove giving it nearly full market coverage between the two signals. The Christian AC format remains on 100.7 WMUV-FM Brunswick GA. WYKB has been slowly growing in the ratings as it has trended up 0.8 – 1.0 – 1.2 over the past three months. WSOS-FM/WMUV-FM do not appear in the publicly listed ratings.

Cox Media Group has swapped format locations of Alternative “X102.9” WXXJ Jacksonville and Soft AC “Easy 106.5” WEZI Ponte Vedra Beach FL. The move places the Soft AC format on the 100kW Class C 102.9 signal and with the frequency switch, “Easy 102.9” has gone All-Christmas to compete against Renda AC 96.1 WEJZ.
