The station’s daily lineup includes Randy Rainwater and Rick Schaeffer’s “Drivetime Sports” simulcast from Signal Media’s “103.7 The Buzz” KABZ Little Rock from 4-7pm and the national ESPN Radio lineup at other times. Saga Communications is launching Christian AC “Sunny 98.5” K253BQ Jonesboro, AR on Monday, February 24. The 250 watt translator, being fed by 106.3 KJBX-HD2, will utilize programming from Salem Media’s Todays Christian Music network including Doug & Jaci Velasquez in mornings.

KEGI Shifts To Rock

Saga Classic Hits “100.5 The Eagle” KEGI Trumann/Jonesboro, AR has shifted to Rock. The station is retaining its “Eagle” moniker and current airstaff which includes the syndicated Bob & Tom in mornings, PD Rick Christian in middays, Phil Jamison in afternoons, and Big Ben in evenings. The shift places the station in further competition with WRD Entertainment’s Classic Rock 93.1 KZLE, while distancing it from sister “True Oldies 92.7” K224DW/104.9 KDXY-HD3.

KCJF To Drop Sports Format 7/1

Arkansas Business reports that “103.9 The Game” KCJF Earle/Jonesboro, AR will drop its Sports/Active Rock hybrid format when it goes under new management on July 1. MOR Media, owners of 1490 KDRS and “107.1 Jack-FM” KDRS-FM Paragould will be acquiring KCJF from Catherine Joanna Flinn in a deal not yet filed with the FCC. KCJF currently programs locally originated Sports programming from 7am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm daily along with St. Louis Cardinals play-by-play. The rest of the day features Active Rock.
