Jordin Silver has been appointed new morning host at Entercom Alternative “96.5 The Buzz” KRBZ Kansas City. Silver most recently served as midday and evening host at “Alt 98.7” KYSR Los Angeles until her exit in 2016. Entercom Hot AC “99.7 The Point” KZPT Kansas City has announced that Brian ‘Ponch’ Hudgens and Nikki Vivas will take over their morning show on Tuesday, September 4. Ponch is best known for his 17 year run in mornings at CHR “Mix 93.3” KMXV, the final nine where he also served as Program Director, until his exit in August 2016. Nikki Vivas joins the station from middays at Cumulus CHR “95.7 The Vibe” KCHZ. Vivas has also served as a traffic reporter for KMBC-TV Kansas City and Promotions & Marketing Director for KMXV. After two runs over sixteen years in mornings at Entercom Alternative “96.5 The Buzz” KRBZ Kansas City, Afentra is no longer with the station. Afentra joined KRBZ in 2002 as Kenny Holland’s co-host before taking over as lead host for what was rebranded as “Afentra’s Big Fat Morning Buzz” in 2003. After relocating to sister “107.7 The End” KNDD Seattle in 2007, she moved back to KRBZ in August 2008 and had been there until now. Prior to coming to Seattle she worked at 95.5 WKQI and 99.5 WYCD Detroit. The station is now branding its morning show as “Danny & Mark In The Morning” with longtime co-host ‘Danny Boi’ Terreros and producer Mark Van Sickle taking the reins.

Following the addition of Premiere Networks’ The Woody Show at AAA 104.5 KFOG San Francisco/97.7 KFFG San Jose last month, Cumulus Media is adding the show at its Alternative stations in Kansas City, New Orleans and Salt Lake City. The Woody Show will debut on “Alt 92.3” WRKN Laplace/New Orleans, “Alt 101.9” KHTB Ogden/Salt Lake City, and “X105.1” KCJK Garden City/Kansas City on Monday, May 21. A second bankruptcy filing was made for WPNT Inc., Steel City’s holding company for Hot AC “Q92.9” WLTJ and Variety Hits “96.9 Bob-FM” WRRK Pittsburgh placing them into the restructuring initiated by the Kansas City holding company yesterday. The creditor list for WPNT Inc. is combined with that of MGTF Media. The company released the following press release about the filings. Dick Wilson Among Cumulus Kansas City Cuts

The budgetary axe has swung at Cumulus Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM and Talk 710 KCMO/103.7 K279BI Kansas City. As KCMO-FM made its annual move to Christmas music yesterday it parted ways with morning host Dick Wilson. Wilson had been in mornings at KCMO-FM since 1986 and also spent eight years co-hosting mornings at Rock “KY 102” KYYS from 1975-83. Wilson also briefly hosted the short-lived Camp Midnite for USA Network and Dick Clark Productions in 1989. Over at 710 KCMO, morning hosts Greg Knapp and Tom Becka have exited.
