Star City Broadcasting will flip Sports “Fox Sports 104.3” 1410 WSHY/104.3 W282CJ Lafayette IN to News/Talk “104.3 The Patriot” on Monday, July 23. The station will feature a mostly syndicated line-up of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Michael Savage. The station will include news reports from their sister co-owned stations. No announcement on what the station will feature in mornings. WYCM Lafayette Rebrands As Y95

In preparation of the start of the spring ratings period later this week, Star City Broadcasting has rebranded Country “Your Country 95.7” WYCM Attica/Lafayette IN as “Y95“. The previous “Your Country” branding remains as the station’s positioning. WYCM runs jockless outside of Program Director Dave North in middays from 11am-3pm.

Neuhoff Drops A Hammer Into Lafayette IN

Neuhoff Media launched Sports “101.7 The Hammer” in Lafayette IN as the former “ESPN 1450” WASK Lafayette launched translator 101.7 W269DJ. The new brand launched with the start of the NCAA Mens’ Basketball Tournament yesterday. The station will continue to carry ESPN Radio programming and Chicago Cubs baseball. Woof Boom Radio closed on its $608,000 acquisition of 106.7 WKHL West Lafayette IN from Educational Media Foundation and has flipped the station to AC “Q106.7” WLQQ. Launching at 1:06pm this afternoon, the new station is positioning as “The Best of Yesterday and Today”. Lafayette TV Acquires Artistic Media’s Lafayette IN Cluster

Arthur Angotti II’s Artistic Media Partners has announced the sale of its four stations in Lafayette IN to Lafayette TV, LLC for $2.3 million. The Bill Christian and Mike Reed led Lafayette TV currently owns WPBI-LD TV in the market which will soon launch as the market’s NBC and Fox affiliates. The deal with Artistic will give them Variety Hits “95.3 Bob-FM” WBPE Brookston, “Your Country 95.7” WYCM Attica, CHR “Z96.5 WAZY-FM Lafayette, and “Fox Sports 1410” WSHY Lafayette. Following the sale Artistic will only retain 1620 WDND South Bend. Gray Television Divests Schurz Clusters To Three Buyers

Gray Television has no intent on becoming radio operators. In its $442.5 million deal to acquire Schurz Communications, the company inherited radio clusters in Lafayette and South Bend IN and Rapid City SD. They have simultaneously filed to transfer each market to a different buyer. The Lafayette stations Rock 93.5 WKHY, Classic Hits 98.7 WASK-FM, CHR “B102.9” WXXB, Country “K105” 105.3 WKOA, and Sports “ESPN 1450” WASK will go to Neuhoff Communications for $8 million. The purchase is the first move of Neuhoff outside the state of Illinois where the company owns clusters in Danville, Decatur, and Springfield and agreed to purchase Connoisseur’s three Bloomington stations a few weeks ago.
