Woof Boom Radio Expands To Lima

Woof Boom Radio has announced it will acquire Childers Media Group and its five stations in Lima OH. Woof Boom, which currently owns six stations in Muncie IN, will add Country “92.1 The Frog” WFGF Wapakoneta, Sports “93.1 The Fan” WWSR Lima, Classic Rock “104.9 The Eagle” WEGE Lima, Classic Hits “Fun 107.1” WDOH Delphos, and “Sportstalk 940” WCIT Lima. Terms of the deal have not been announced. Childers Media Group purchased the cluster from Maverick Media in 2013 for $2.1 million. FCC Decisions The FCC has entered a Consent Decree with Katherine Bohn for an "illegal transfer of control" of News/Talk 1140 KVLI Lake Isabella, Country 102.5 KCNQ Kernville, and Classic Rock 104.5 KRVQ Lake Isabella CA. Bohn will pay $8,000 in a civil penalty over claims by Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa that following a deal to enter a Time Brokerage Agreement to Alta Sierra Broadcasting, the licensee failed to maintain a staff presence at the station. Charles Philome was fined $20,000 for operating a pirate station on 88.7 and 90.1 from multiple locations in Margate and Pompano Beach FL after previously being warned multiple times. Anchor Radio and Ryan Media have come to a settlement to resolve one of the mutually exclusive conflicts created on the first day of the AM Translator Waiver Period. Anchor Radio is taking a $25,000 cash settlement from Ryan Media to withdraw its application for 104.7 W284AD New Albany IN to move to 96.1 with 250w/115m from its existing tower site. W284AD will continue to operate on 104.7, albeit with a directional 99 watts rebroadcasting Gospel "1240 Love" WLLV Louisville.
