Eagle Communications launched Active Rock “Q-Rock 92.7” K224EX Manhattan/103.5 KQLA-HD2 Ogden KS last month. Eagle had purchased K224EX from the University of Kansas in late December for $20,000. The new format is positioned to chip away at Manhattan Broadcasting’s “101.5 K-Rock” KMKF and shares the Q branding of sister Country “Q103.5” KQLA.
Update 7/30: KQLA completed stunting and relaunched as “Q Country 103.5” on Monday morning. Original Report 7/25: Eagle Communications AC “Q103.5” KQLA Ogden, KS is stunting with Christmas music. The Christmas in July stunt will lead to a format change as Eagle registered QCountry1035.com for the station last week. That would expand the “Q Country” brand used by Eagle Communications in Alliance, Chadron, and North Platte, NE and St. Joseph, MO into the Manhattan/Junction City market.
