Following the closing of its $200,000 acquisition of Country “103.5 The Bull” WZVA Marion VA from TECO Broadcasting, Bristol Broadcasting flipped the station to CHR “Hot 103.5” on Friday, June 29. WZVA joned a Bristol cluster that included Country “93.9 WMEV-FM“, Classic Hits “KZ 101” 1010 WUKZ/101.1 W266BM, and Gospel 1330 WSNQ in Marion so the move eliminates the format overlap with WMEV. WZVA is positioning as Southwest Virginia’s Hit Music and promoting core artists as Demi Lovato, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, and Taylor Swift.
After nearly two months of stunting, CDM Broadcasting has finally debuted a new format identity on WZVA Marion VA as Country “103.5 The Bull“. Positioned as “New Country & The Legends”, the M of CDM Broadcasting Mark Andrews will serve as PD and VP/Programming for the entire company.
