FCC Applications 10/5: Translator On The Move Into Austin

Station Moves Beasley (Soon to be CBS) Sports 560 WQAM Miami has applied to relocate to the tower of Salem’s 1450 WOCN. The owners of the station’s tower site on Virginia Key notified WQAM and co-tenant 1360 WKAT earlier this year that their leases will not be renewed. At the new site where WQAM will join WKAT and WOCN it will drop its daytime power from its current 5kW to 4.1kW. Nighttime power will remain at 1kW. Cumulus AC “Sunny 97.5” WWSN Whitehall/Muskegon, MI applies to increase from 1.7kW at 130 meters to 3kW at 134.2 meters (Coverage Map). Three Auction 91 Construction Permits are preparing for their upcoming launches by registering domains for the stations. In Montgomery AL, 93.1 WGMP Coosada will assume the programming of “News/Talk 107.9” WMRK on September 1 as Bluewater Broadcasting begins an LMA with 93.1 as the current one with 107.9 expires. NewsTalk931.com is already live pointing to WMRK’s website. Over in Muskegon MI, Will Tieman’s 93.1 WMPA Ferrysburg has registered Country931.com for the soon to launch station. Tieman, who is best known as the voice of Michigan State University basketball, also owns “Sportsradio 1370” WGHN and AC 92.1 WGHN-FM in Grand Haven.
