As Canada prepares to celebrate the Labour Day weekend the format changes are rolling out across the nation today. In Brandon MB, Bell Media has made the first change at one of the former Astral stations as it flipped Rock “KX 96” CKX-FM to Variety Hits “96.1 Bob-FM“. In a pair of markets that saw Rogers rebrand their “EZ Rock” stations to “Kiss” yesterday, Vista Radio has tweaked the music. “93.1 Moose-FM” CHMT Timmins and “106.3 Moose-FM” CFXN-FM North Bay have shifted from Hot AC to Classic Hits. These moves follow Classic Rock “89.9 Hal-FM” CHNS Halifax’s flip to Classic Hits “The Wave” this morning.

Rogers Launches Canadian Country Brand

Update 7/3: Rogers completed the rebranding of the remainder of their FM Country stations to the “Country” moniker. “Y101” CKBY Smiths Falls/Ottawa is now “Country 101.1“, “Kix 93.5” CKXC Kingston is now “Country 93.5“, and “Q104” CJQM Sault Ste. Marie is now “Country 104.3“. The changes bring identical logos and imaging to the stations.
