Entercom has announced new Program Directors for Alternative “FM 101.9” WQMP and Hot AC “Mix 105.1” WOMX Orlando. Dana Taylor, who has been at WOMX since 1994 and most recently served as Assistant Program Director and morning co-host, has been promoted to Program Director of that station. During her 24 year tenure at the station she has held positions in every daypart except afternoon drive and served as Music Director. The PD role at “FM 101.9” WQMP will be filled by John O’Connell. Following the move of Conservative Talk 540 WFLF Pine Hills/Orlando FL’s FM signal to 93.1 W226BT Orlando, iHeartMedia has flipped Brazilian 810 WRSO Orlovista/97.9 W250CE Kissimmee to Spanish News/Talk “Acción 97.9” as it began operating the station via LMA. WFLA Orlando Moves To 93.1

iHeartMedia Conservative Talk “NewsRadio 102.5 WFLA” 540 WFLF Pine Hills/Orlando FL has moved its FM signal off of 102.5 W273CA Orlando to 93.1 W226BT Orlando. The move comes as iHeartMedia will end its lease of W273CA from Central Florida Educational Association after eight years. The translator originally was programmed as Smooth Jazz “WLOQ” before assuming WFLF’s simulcast in February 2014. No word yet on what will replace WFLF on 102.5. 93.1 W226BT had been rebroadcasting Star Over Orlando’s co-owned Brazilian 810 WRSO Orlovista. Cox Enterprises To Explore Strategic Options For Television Stations

Cox Enterprises has announced that it is exploring its strategic options for its 14 television stations in regards to selling, merging with another operator, or partnering with another to manage. Cox currently owns or operates fourteen stations across ten markets. In five of those markets: Atlanta, Dayton, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tulsa it also operates a radio cluster whose management is completely intertwined with the television stations. Oi2 Orlando Returns To iHeart As Mega 97.1

iHeartMedia has retaken control of “Oi2 97.1” 97.1 W246BT Clermont and 97.1 W246CK Kissimmee/Orlando FL (pronounced Oidos Ninety Seven Uno) from Oi2 Media and relaunched it as Spanish CHR “Mega 97.1” on January 30. Oi2 began operating the two translators fed by WRUM-HD2 Orlando in April 2017 as “Boom 97.1” targeting bilingual millennials with a mix of English and Spanish Hits but was forced to rebrand following a Cease & Desist letter from Boom trademark holder Radio-One.
