After purchasing 101.1 KZTS Cammack Village/Little Rock AR in March for $1.1 million and ending its LMA of 96.5 KHTE-FM England, Salem Communications is purchasing 1380 KDXE North Little Rock/105.5 K288EZ Little Rock from N C Communications for $180,000. As part of the deal, Salem will lease the station to Steve Hegwood’s Core Communications to keep the Urban “Streetz” format that was displaced off of 101.1 KZTS. That move started on Sunday, April 1. JW Broadcasting sells Conservative Talk “Newstalk 1160” WCFO Eastpoint/Atlanta GA to Atlanta Catholic Radio for $750,000. FCC Actions Last week the FCC dismissed the License to Cover for Omni Broadcasting's to complete the relocation of 97.1 W246BN Atmore AL to Pensacola FL over multiple FCC violations including insufficient fee payments, delinquent debts, or debarment. This week the issues continued to pile up for the translator as Omni was issued a Notice of Violation for multiple violations including operating approximately 40 miles from the location authorized on the Station’s license and that W246BN was originating programing instead of retransmitting programing from its associated station. W246BN was licensed to rebroadcast La Promesa Foundation’s Catholic 1230 WDWR Pensacola but most recently was operating as Sports “The Ticket” and is still listed as such on the station's website.

WRGV assumes the programming and branding of 100.3 W262BL/99.9 WMXC-HD2 Mobile AL as the station covers both markets. W262BL registered a 1.5 share in the Mobile market in the Summer 2017 Nielsen Audio ratings, while Cumulus Media’s competing Urban 92.9 WBLX was second overall with a 11.2 share. WRGV registered a 2.5 share in the Spring 2017 ratings in the Pensacola market and now leaves Cumulus’ 97.5 WABD Mobile as the only CHR in either market.

Easy Media Sports “ESPN Pensacola” 1450 WBSR/101.1 W266AL Pensacola FL abruptly dropped the format on Wednesday afternoon. The station, which was being operated via LMA, informed its staff on Wednesday morning that it was ceasing operations and they were being terminated. WBSR featured three hours of local programming daily and ESPN Radio network programming in other dayparts. The Pensacola News-Journal reports the station will return to the air with a new format. WBSR flipped from AC to Sports in August 2011 under an LMA from Pensacola Sports Radio LLC. The station itself was sold by Frederic T.C. Brewer to his son Dan Brewer in 2016 for $310,253. Dan Brewer then purchased W266AL from Edgewater Broadcasting for $38,000.
