For the first time since 1450 WBSR/101.1 W266AL Pensacola FL dropped Sports for Christian programming in June 2017, the ESPN Radio network has returned to the market. ADX Communications has launched Sports “94.5 ESPN Pensacola” on 94.5 W233CY Milton/WYCT-HD2 Pensacola. The station is carrying ESPN’s Golic & Wingo, Dan Le Batard Show, Stephen A. Smith, and Spain and Fitz as well as its regionally syndicated Paul Finebaum Show in afternoons. A local 12pm-1pm show, “Talk Football with Coach Kay” hosted by former NFL, WLAF, CFL, and University of Arkansas coach Kay Stephenson rounds out the lineup. Greg Tillotson Appointed Cumulus Pensacola Operations Manager

Cumulus Media has appointed Greg Tillotson as Operations Manager for its five station cluster in Pensacola FL and Program Director of AC “Soft Rock 94.1” WMEZ, Classic Hits “100.7 The Jet” WJTQ, and News/Talk 1370 WCOA. Tillotson joins Cumulus from Mapleton Communications cluster in Spokane WA where he served as Station Manager/PD. After purchasing 101.1 KZTS Cammack Village/Little Rock AR in March for $1.1 million and ending its LMA of 96.5 KHTE-FM England, Salem Communications is purchasing 1380 KDXE North Little Rock/105.5 K288EZ Little Rock from N C Communications for $180,000. As part of the deal, Salem will lease the station to Steve Hegwood’s Core Communications to keep the Urban “Streetz” format that was displaced off of 101.1 KZTS. That move started on Sunday, April 1. JW Broadcasting sells Conservative Talk “Newstalk 1160” WCFO Eastpoint/Atlanta GA to Atlanta Catholic Radio for $750,000. The purchase price is split between $500,000 for the station property and $250,000 for the tower land. The buyer will begin operating WCFO via Time Brokerage Agreement on Monday, April 16. Scott Lindy has departed his position as Cumulus Corporate Program Director and at Country “Kicks 101.5” WKHX Atlanta. Lindy joined Cumulus in May 2015 to program 95.5 WFMS Indianapolis and moved to WKHX the following October. Lindy spent 4 1/2 years as OM/PD of Hot AC “Star 94” WSTR Atlanta under Lincoln Financial Media ownership until its sale to Entercom in 2014 and 2+ years programming Country “94.9 The Bull” WUBL Atlanta. FCC Report 2/11: Issues Pile Up For Pensacola Translator

FCC Actions Last week the FCC dismissed the License to Cover for Omni Broadcasting's to complete the relocation of 97.1 W246BN Atmore AL to Pensacola FL over multiple FCC violations including insufficient fee payments, delinquent debts, or debarment. This week the issues continued to pile up for the translator as Omni was issued a Notice of Violation for multiple violations including operating approximately 40 miles from the location authorized on the Station’s license and that W246BN was originating programing instead of retransmitting programing from its associated station. W246BN was licensed to rebroadcast La Promesa Foundation’s Catholic 1230 WDWR Pensacola but most recently was operating as Sports “The Ticket” and is still listed as such on the station's website.

107.3 WRGV Pensacola Flips to Urban

iHeartMedia has flipped CHR “107.3 Kiss-FM” WRGV Pensacola FL to Urban “107.3 The Beat“. WRGV assumes the programming and branding of 100.3 W262BL/99.9 WMXC-HD2 Mobile AL as the station covers both markets. W262BL registered a 1.5 share in the Mobile market in the Summer 2017 Nielsen Audio ratings, while Cumulus Media’s competing Urban 92.9 WBLX was second overall with a 11.2 share. WRGV registered a 2.5 share in the Spring 2017 ratings in the Pensacola market and now leaves Cumulus’ 97.5 WABD Mobile as the only CHR in either market.

Rinker most recently served as Market President for iHeartMedia Panama City and Tallahassee until exiting in the recent round of layoffs. She has also served as GSM for Cox Media in New Haven and Orlando, and Director of Sales for Treasure Coast Radio and Clear Channel Birmingham. WOWB Expands To Pensacola

Agape Educational Media Christian AC “Wow 90.9” WOWB Jay FL/Evergreen AL has expanded to the adjacent Pensacola market on Easy Media’s 1450 WBSR/101.1 W266AL Pensacola. WBSR/W266AL had been operating as Sports “ESPN Pensacola” until the abrupt end of that format on June 1. WOWB staffers mentioned on-air that they are currently leasing the new signals, but intend to purchase the stations.

WBSR Drops ESPN; New Format Coming

Easy Media Sports “ESPN Pensacola” 1450 WBSR/101.1 W266AL Pensacola FL abruptly dropped the format on Wednesday afternoon. The station, which was being operated via LMA, informed its staff on Wednesday morning that it was ceasing operations and they were being terminated. WBSR featured three hours of local programming daily and ESPN Radio network programming in other dayparts. The Pensacola News-Journal reports the station will return to the air with a new format. WBSR flipped from AC to Sports in August 2011 under an LMA from Pensacola Sports Radio LLC. The station itself was sold by Frederic T.C. Brewer to his son Dan Brewer in 2016 for $310,253. Dan Brewer then purchased W266AL from Edgewater Broadcasting for $38,000.
