Alana Lynn & Nina D Swap Dayparts At KMLE Phoenix

Entercom Country 107.9 KMLE Phoenix has announced that Alana Lynn and Nina D will exchange on-air slots at the station. Alana Lynn will move from afternoons to join Niko Petrou on “The Breakfast Buzz” from 5:30-10am. She will also continue to serve as Music Director at the station. Meanwhile, Nina D, who had been part of the stations Morning Show since 2013, will move to the 1-7pm afternoon shift at the station. Jared Marshall will remain in the 10am-1pm midday slot and Jeana Shepard in the 7pm-12am evening shift. Neon 90.7 Brings 90s Hits To Suburban Phoenix

East Valley Institute of Technology flipped Classic Country “90.7 The Goldmine” to 1990s based Classic Hits “Neon 90.7” last month. The station, which serves the eastern suburbs of the Phoenix market, is playing a broad mix of music from the 80s through early 2000s with an emphasis on 90’s rhythmic titles. Artists heard in our brief samplings include En Vouge, Digital Underground, Michelle Branch, Crystal Waters, and Quiet Riot. KVIT is one of two stations operated by the high school along with CHR “Pulse 88.7” KPNG Mesa.

Steve Goddard Joins Oldies 92.7 Phoenix

Hubbard Radio’s “Oldies 92.7” 1440 KAZG/92.7 K224CJ Phoenix has announced the addition of Steve Goddard for afternoons starting June 11. Goddard has been a staple in the Phoenix market since joining 104.7 KZZP in 1980. He spent 13 years as afternoon host at Country 102.5 KNIX from 1995-2008 before joining CBS Radio Classic Hits 94.5 KOOL-FM from 2008-2015. Entercom continue to revamp the markets it acquired from CBS Radio as two more Market Managers have exited the company. The Philadelphia Business Journal confirms that Steve Swenson has exited as head of the company’s Washington DC cluster, a role he had held under CBS since 2011 after previously overseeing that company’s two All-News stations in New York. Phil Zachary, who moved from Entercom Boston to his native Hartford upon completion of the merger, will now relocate to Washington. Zachary oversaw Classic Rock 94.7 WARW and Alternative 99.1 WHFS for CBS Radio from 1996-2001 before becoming President/COO of Curtis Media Group. As the Cesar Chavez Foundation moves off of the non-commercial band in Phoenix following its three acquisitions in the market last year, the now former 88.3 KNAI-FM (operating under new KCCF-FM call letters) has begun stunting with a loop redirecting listeners to the new home of its Regional Mexican “La Campesina” network. With the 88.3 allocation operating as a shared-time facility with Family Stations’ 88.3 KPHF Phoenix and the Campesina network operating commercially in its other markets outside of Phoenix and Visalia CA, the Cesar Chavez Foundation’s Farmworker Educational Radio Network made three acquisitions in 2017 to allow them to operate 24/7 and commercially in Phoenix.
