iHeartMedia has relaunched Hot AC “100.5 The Drive” WDVI Rochester NY as “Mix 100.5“. The change is the final piece in the evolution of WDVI from the Adult Alternative lean it had upon its launch in 2006 to the more traditional Adult CHR approach it has had over the past year. It is also a return to the branding the station had in its final days as WVOR prior to the debut of WDVI. The station will continue to carry the syndicated Elvis Duran in mornings.

Gross most spent 12 years at iHeartMedia where he programmed “105.9 The Rock” WNRQ Nashville from 2005-2014 and “Big 105.9” WBGG Miami from 2014-2016. He has also programmed 94.5 WARO Fort Myers and hosted mornings at 100.3 WDIZ Orlando, 105.7 WPNT St. Louis, and 103.1 WHVY Baltimore during his career. Gross will start at WCMF on May 15 and succeeds Chris Crowley who transferred to sister 92.3 KGON Portland earlier this year.

Bohn will pay $8,000 in a civil penalty over claims by Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa that following a deal to enter a Time Brokerage Agreement to Alta Sierra Broadcasting, the licensee failed to maintain a staff presence at the station. Charles Philome was fined $20,000 for operating a pirate station on 88.7 and 90.1 from multiple locations in Margate and Pompano Beach FL after previously being warned multiple times.
