Zoo, operated by Marco Mazzoli, runs iHeartMedia owned Dance “Evolution 93.5” W228BY Miami/WHYI-HD2 and is in the process of purchasing 93.5 WZFL Islamorada. W231CU holds a Construction Permit to move to 104.7 with 99 watts at 230 meters where it will also rebroadcast WHYI-HD2 extending the 93.5 coverage to include North Miami and Hollywood, FL areas (Coverage Map). Liberty University is selling two Virginia translators to national broadcasters. 104.1 W281AW Petersburg will go to Radio-One for $75,000. W242BF will be used to rebroadcast “Fox Sports 590” WDIZ Panama City. Zimmer Radio purchases the CP for 106.5 K293BW Columbia, MO from Radio Assist Ministry for $50,000. Update 6/23: Cox launched “X107.1” at midnight bringing the second Alternative station to the market. Utilizing the same logo, positioning, and 10,000 songs in a row as sister “X107.3” that launched last week in Orlando, “X107.1” joins Clear Channel’s “Radio 105.7” WRDA Canton/96.7 WRDG Peachtree City in the format. WRDA debuted in March 2013 bringing the format back to Atlanta after the second demise of “99X” in August 2012. WTSH Expands South Into Atlanta

The Atlanta market has quietly gained a third Country station. Rome Radio Partners has signed on 107.1 W296BB Jonesboro, GA from the tower of Cox’ WSB-TV in downtown Atlanta. Operating with 250 watts at 293.4 meters the translator is rebroadcasting 98.5 WSB-HD3 covering Atlanta and its southern suburbs, with the HD subchannel simulcasting the programming of RRP’s “South 107” WTSH Aragon/Rome which already had a strong signal in Atlanta’s northern suburbs. Women’s World Broadcasting has filed a pair of applications to increase its profile in Atlanta following its recent purchase of 107.1 W296BB Jonesboro, GA from Life Radio Ministries for $15,000. The translator has applied to move into Atlanta proper where it would operate with a directional 250 watts. The translator will cover the southern half of Atlanta while rebroadcasting Cox’ 98.5 WSB-HD3. The second application will increase Women’s World’s Country “South 107” WTSH Aragon. The application to move to a new tower site will put the station’s 60dBu contour directly over the portions of Atlanta that W296BB will not cover. Woman’s World Broadcasting’s “South 107” 107.1 WTSH-FM Rockmart/Rome, Ga has completed one upgrade and applied for another. The station has jumped from 45kW to 100kW. The application will keep the station at 100kW but increase the antenna height from 158 to 287 meters. If approved the station’s service contour will just miss downtown Atlanta. In Atlanta, Clear Channel’s 94.9 WUBL and 96.1 WKLS are looking to make a minor adjustment. Their application to move to a new tower 150 meters away from their current one. 94.9 will adjust from 99kW to 73.6kW while increasing from 298 to 330 meters. 96.1’s shift is from 99kW at 300 meters to 97kW at 330 meters.
