The show replaces The Dana Cortez Show, which exited the company at the end of July for a syndication deal with ABC Radio that placed it on Alpha Media’s “Energy 94.1” KTFM in afternoons. The addition of The Breakfast Club also marks a change in strategy for Univision Radio, which until now had not relied on any outside syndication at their stations. The first two affiliates for ABC Radio/Skyview Networks’ newly syndicated Dana Cortez Show have been revealed. In her home market of San Antonio, the show will air from 3-7pm afternoons on Alpha Media Rhythmic CHR “Energy 94.1” KTFM Floresville. The show had been airing in mornings at Univision’s “98.5 The Beat” KBBT from October 2015 until exiting at the end of July. Prior to moving to KBBT, the show was based at “Kiss 97.3” KKSS Albuquerque and aired there until Univision sold the station to American General Media in 2017. Cox Enterprises has announced that it is exploring its strategic options for its 14 television stations in regards to selling, merging with another operator, or partnering with another to manage. Cox currently owns or operates fourteen stations across ten markets. In five of those markets: Atlanta, Dayton, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tulsa it also operates a radio cluster whose management is completely intertwined with the television stations.
