Former 102.5 KSFM Sacramento Music Director/Midday Host Bre Ruiz is rejoining Entercom to serve as Sir Mix-A-Lot’s co-host in mornings at Classic Hip-Hop “Hot 103.7” KHTP Tacoma/Seattle. Ruiz exited KSFM in April with the rest of the local staff of the station. She also served as MD at Country 105.1 KNCI. The duo will instead move to sister “106.1 Kiss-FM” KBKS Tacoma for nights starting Monday, May 21. The show will air from 6-10pm replacing the voicetracked EJ on KBKS. Salem Swaps One In Seattle For One In Portland

After beginning to operate a Portland AM via LMA earlier this year, Salem Media is acquiring one of them outright. Salem will swap 1300 KKOL Seattle to Tron Dinh Do’s Intelli LLC in exchange for 860 KPAM Troutdale/Portland OR. Intelli purchased KPAM and 1550 KKOV Vancouver WA in 2017 for $1.2 million. Upon closing of the sale, Salem began operating KPAM as Conservative Talk “860 The Answer” and Intelli flipped KKOV from Adult Standards to its Vietnamese programming.

Cliff Avril Joins 950 KJR Seattle

After being released by the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks on Friday, Cliff Avril is joining iHeartMedia Sports 950 KJR Seattle as midday co-host. Avril suffered a career-ending neck injury last October and will join Jason Puckett in KJR’s 10am-1pm daypart starting July 9. The former Pro Bowl defensive end spent ten years in the NFL split between the Detroit Lions and Seahawks where he won a Super Bowl in 2013.
