Lineup Changes Coming To CBS Sports Radio

CBS Sports Radio has made its lineup change official. Gregg Gianotti will join the network from CBS’ “93.7 The Fan” KDKA-FM Pittsburgh for 6-9am with current night co-host Brian Jones. Brandon Tierney and Tiki Barber will shift from that timeslot to 9am-12pm replacing John Feinstein with their co-host Dana Jacobsen exiting. Damon Amendolara moves from overnights to the 6-10pm slot with weekender Amy Lawrence moving to the 2-6am slot. Back in Pittsburgh, Colin Dunlap will move from nights to mornings joining Josh Miller and Jim Colony. Steve Gorman Takes Afternoon Slot At Fox Sports Radio

Fox Sports Radio has hired Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman to host afternoons from 3-6pm Eastern/12-3pm Pacific beginning January 27. Gorman, who had been hosting a Sports themed podcast, has been a frequent guest on Fox Sports Radio’s Jay Mohr Sports and occasional fill-in at WPRT Nashville. His appointment comes after a massive lineup reshuffling announced in late-December. Fox Sports Radio Resets Its Lineup For 2014

Update 12/19: Pat O’Brien and Steve Hartmann will not be remaining with KLAC according to the Los Angeles Daily News. KLAC will add a local show reportedly to be hosted by KNBC-TV sportscaster Fred Roggin. While O’Brien completely exits the network, Hartmann will remain in a weekend capacity. Cumulus Preps National Launch Of America’s Morning Show

Cumulus’ “America’s Morning Show” is going National in 2014. Originating in Nashville, but based at “Nash-FM 94.7” WNSH New York, the program led by Blair Garner will begin being distributed to other Country stations in the new year. The announcement comes buried in a release announcing the hiring of three new staffers for Cumulus’ Nash initiative. Cumulus announces the hiring of three key NASH executives in preparation for the national launches of “America’s Morning Show” and “NASH Nights Live with Shawn Parr” next month. Mike Huckabee To End Syndicated Show

Another day, another move in the Conservative Talk syndication shuffle. As first reported by Politco, Mike Huckabee announced today that his Cumulus Media Networks program will end on Thursday, December 14. The Fox News host and former Arkansas Governor and Presidential candidate began syndication in the 12-3pm Eastern timeslot in April 2012. Yesterday it was announced that Westwood One was moving Dennis Miller into that slot and replacing Huckabee on KLIF Dallas and KCMO Kansas City among other stations. On Monday, Cumulus announced that Geraldo Rivera would end his syndicated show at the end of the year. Dennis Miller Changes Timeslot; Goes Live In Dallas & Kansas City

As the Conservative Talk syndication shuffle continues, Westwood One has announced Dennis Miller will change his live clearance time in 2014. Now airing from 10am-1pm eastern, Miller’s show will move into the 12-3pm daypart as Westwood One prepares to complete its merger with Cumulus Media Networks. By moving to the new timeslot up against Rush Limbaugh, Miller has been rewarded with live clearances on Cumulus’ 570 KLIF Dallas, 710/103.7 KCMO Kansas City, and others to be announced, Both KLIF and KCMO has been airing Cumulus’ Mike Huckabee in that timeslot. Will Huckabee be moving to the recently vacated by Geraldo Rivera 9am-12pm eastern slot or are more changes ahead?

Geraldo To Go Local On WABC; Depart Syndication

Cumulus Media Networks has announced that Geraldo Rivera will end his daily syndicated talk show at the end of the year. Rivera has been distributed live in the 9am to 12pm daypart since August 2012. Before entering national syndication he hosted two unique local shows for 770 WABC New York and 790 KABC Los Angeles. Cumulus has not revealed its plans if any for replacement programming for the daypart. Geraldo will not be leaving Cumulus as he will shift his program back to a New York only focus airing from 10am-12pm on WABC beginning January 1, 2014. WABC will be seeing the bulk of its daily lineup changing that day as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity move to Clear Channel’s 710 WOR. Premiere Cancels & Uncancels Randi Rhodes

After canceling syndicated Liberal Talk host Randi Rhodes earlier this week, Clear Channel’s Premiere Radio Networks has reversed course and signed her to a new contract. On Wednesday, Premiere announced that they would cease distribution of Rhodes’ program at the expiration of her contract at the end of the year. Just two days later Premiere has stated they have signed her to a one year contract extension through the end of 2014. Michael Savage To Move To Afternoons In January

Cumulus Media Networks has announced that Michael Savage’s “Savage Nation” will shift into the afternoon timeslot in January. Savage will take the 3-6pm Eastern/12-3pm Pacific spot opened up on Cumulus owned stations by Sean Hannity not resigning with the company earlier this month. Cumulus claims that Savage will launch in afternoons on 200+ stations including 60 Cumulus owned stations. Among the affiliates that will be carrying Savage live are 770 WABC New York, 890 WLS Chicago, 820/96.7 WBAP Dallas, 630/105.9 WMAL Washington, 760 WJR Detroit, and 710/103.7 KCMO Kansas City. Talk Radio Network Makes Statement; Shuts Down ARNN

Update 9/9: Mark Masters has released a statement regarding the status of TRN. Blaming all the company’s problems on Dial Global and not itself, the company shut down the America’s Radio News Network as of Friday, September 6 and is currently sending its Talk programming to affiliates until they find replacement programming. Nowhere does Masters address the comments by many of its employees regarding the termination of their employeent. The remainder of TRN’s programming will continue unaffected as of now. ESPN Radio’s New Schedule Has Miami Flavor

ESPN Radio has announced a pair of new additions from Miami to its daily lineup. On Monday, September 9, former WQAM Miami afternoon host Jorge Sedano and ESPN NFL analyst Mark Schlereth will debut “Sedano & Stink” airing Monday through Thursday from 7pm-10pm Eastern. The duo will replace Mike Hill, who left ESPN for Fox Sports earlier this summer.
