Station Sales Susan Uecker, the bankruptcy court appointed receiver for Pappas Radio of California, has sold Spanish Sports “ESPN Deportes 860” KTRB San Francisco to John Douglas’ U.S. International Radio for $6.5 million. Deportes Media of California, which operates the station via LMA, has right of first refusal to purchase the station through June 21, but has stated to the seller that it will not exercise that option. Mark Heller’s Metro North Communications sells Easy Listening 98.9 WEMP Two Rivers, WI to Seehafer Broadcasting for $380,000. EMF also has Construction Permits for on-channel boosters operating with 320 watts in Oakland, 5kW in Hayward, and 1kW in Concord. EMF has also been granted a translator, 104.1 K281BU San Francisco operating with 10 watts at 457.6 meters from the tower site of 96.5 KOIT and 104.5 KFOG in downtown San Francisco. Gold Coast Broadcasting has realigned its AM properties in Ventura County, CA. News/Talk 1520 KVTA Port Hueneme has moved to 1590 Ventura displacing Spanish News/Talk “Radio Formula” KUNX. That shifted KUNX’s programming back to 1400, where it had been until it moved to 1590 in 2008. 1400 KKZZ Santa Paula had been simulcasting KVTA with some additional brokered Talk shows. 1520 is currently airing a loop directing KVTA listeners to 1590.
