Even in the retirement areas of coastal Florida, the life span of calling a station “Oldies” continues to decline. iHeartMedia’s “Oldies 103.7” WQOL Vero Beach/Fort Pierce FL has rebranded by its frequency and call letters. Treasure Coast Radio has relaunched “Hot Country 94.7” WPHR-FM Gifford/Vero Beach FL as “B94.7 Fresh Country“. WPHR registered just a 1.6 share in the Spring 2016 Nielsen Audio ratings, well behind iHeartMedia’s “Wave 92.7” WAVW’s 4.2 for the Country audience in the market. Alpha Media’s 103.1 WIRK Indiantown/West Palm Beach is also heard through much of the market.
