As Vincennes University Foundation retakes operation of 96.7 WFML Vincennes IN, it has flipped the station to what it is calling “Smooth Rock” as “96.7 The Bridge“. The station is describing its new format as “the Singer-Songwriters of the easy rock era who wrote the soundtrack of our listeners lives. Genuine Austin Radio is converting its LMA of Sports “104.9 The Horn” KTXX-FM Bee Cave/Austin and 1260 KLGO Elgin TX from Total Austin Sports Radio LLC into a purchase for $3.2 million. Genuine Austin Radio, which operates as Austin Radio Network began operating the stations at the start of 2014. The company also owns Classic Country 99.3 KOKE-FM Thorndale/1490 KTAE Austin. Tony Richards’ Kensington Digital Media is acquiring Classic Country 1010 WHIN/100.7 W264CR Gallatin TN from WHIN Inc. for $325,000. DLC Media has flipped Classic Rock “Max 96.7” WFML Vincennes, IN to Variety Hits “96.7 Jack-FM“. Owned by The Vincennes University Foundation and operated by DLC Media, WFML covers the western portion of Indiana between Terre Haute and Evansville. Despite the format change WFML will continue to serve as the local outlet for the Chicago Bears and Purdue University Football and Basketball.
