The Oasis format has been running on 104.5 K283BU Walla Walla/KZIU-HD4 since last fall.
Capps Broadcast Group flipped Variety Hits “107.7 The Vine” KWVN-FM Pendleton, OR/Walla Walla, WA to CHR “107.7 Hot-FM“. The flip took place on Monday, February 2. KWVN-FM is also heard on 95.3 K237DM Walla Walla and 100.1 K261BH Heppner, OR. The new format joins a crowded CHR field in the Columbia Basin that already features Townsquare Media’s “Hot 97.5” KOLW Basin City, WA, Ingstad’s “Power 99.1” KUJ-FM Burbank, WA, and Alexandra Communications “Zoo 102” 101.9 KZIU Weston, OR.

Utilizing programming from Broadcast Architecture’s Smooth Jazz Network, the translator covers greater Walla Walla with 250 watts at 326.9 meters, a height that gives it coverage comparable to a full power Class A signal.
Alexandra Communications has launched a pair of new formats in Walla Walla, WA. 80s Hits “106.9 K-Hits” K295AV/101.9 KZIU-HD2 has flipped to Variety Hits as “106.9 Bob-FM“. This returns the Bob brand to the market for the first time since 95.7 KNLT dropped the format in 2008. That station would return to Variety Hits as “Cities 95.7” in 2012. Earlier this month 104.5 K283BU/101.9 KZIU-HD4 debuted as Classic Country “104.5 Hank-FM“. Both formats are products of Kroeger Media and distributed by Envision Radio Networks.
