WZFC Flips To Simulcast Of 1400 WINC

Centennial Broadcasting has broken up the simulcast of Classic Country “B105” 104.9 WZFC Stasburg and 105.5 WXBN Berryville VA as WZFC has flipped to a simulcast of News/Talk 1400 WINC Winchester. The move allows WINC to reach into southern portions of the Winchester market including Front Royal and Woodstock VA. Centennial Broadcasting II L.L.C. today announced programming changes coming to two of their stations serving the Winchester, Virginia market. The company has been airing a Country Legends format, known as True Apple Country B105, as a two signal simulcast on WZFC (104.9) and WXBN (105.5) and this simulcast will end on January 31st. Clear Channel Swaps HD3 For Translator

Clear Channel has acquired 96.3 W242BG Winchester, VA from Liberty University in exchange for an eight year lease to program the HD3 subchannel of 102.5 WUSQ Winchester and the right to lease tower space on the WUSQ tower at no charge. W242BG currently operates with 9 watts at 63.5 meters but holds a Construction Permit to relocate to 95.7 with 45 watts at 46 meters where it will put a serviceable signal over much of the Winchester market in northwestern Virginia. It will rebroadcast a subchannel of Clear Channel’s 98.3 WKSI Stephens City. Liberty will utilize WUSQ-HD3 to feed its Christian “Victory FM” to translators including 89.1 W208AD Winchester, which holds a CP to relocate to 102.1 with 99 watts.
