This one went unnoticed for awhile.
Combined Communications debuted Rhythmic CHR “Wild 107.7” KWXS Bend, OR on April 4 pitting the station against Gross Communications “Power 94” KXIX. Lonnie Chapin is hosting mornings from 6-10am and the station is currently jockless the remainder of the day.
KWXS is a new sign-on operating with 800 watts at 570 meters. The station has already applied to increase power to 2.5kW from the same tower location. Wild 107.7 joins a cluster in Bend that already includes News/Talk 1110 KBND, Classic Rock “98.3 The Twins” KTWS, Country “99.7 The Mountain” KMTK, and AAA “Clear 101.7” KLRR.
