Original Report 9:30am: A return of the Alternative Rock format via a translator in Cleveland is imminent.
99XCleveland.com is now up and running promoting “Cleveland’s New Rock Alternative”. The station is already streaming on IHeartRadio.com although all imaging is still as 100.7 WMMS-HD2 and the Premium Choice fed “Alt Project“. This will return the format to the Cleveland market for the first time since CBS’ shifted “Radio 92.3” WXRK to Sports “92.3 The Fan” last August.
99.1 W256BT applied for its license to broadcast on Monday. Its signal will originate from the 105.7 WMJI tower in Parma where it will operate with 250 watts at 238 meters.
