JVC Media, owners of four radio stations on Long Island, have agreed to purchase Asterisk Communications five stations in the Gainesville and Ocala markets in Florida.
The stations involved in the sale are Hot AC “92Q” 92.9 WMFQ Ocala, Talk “99.5 The Star” WBXY La Crosse, Smooth AC “100.9 Smooth FM” WXJZ Gainesville, “Thunder Country 102.3” WTRS Dunnellon, and Sports “105 The Game” 104.9 WYGC High Springs.
Financial terms of the sale were not yet disclosed. JVC headed by John Caracciolo and Vic “The Latino” Canales own Country “My Country 96.1” WJVC, Spanish “98.5 La Fiesta” WBON, Classic Rock 103.9 WRCN, and Dance “Party 105.3” WPTY in the Long Island, NY market along with Long Island Events that includes management of the Pennysaver Amphitheater.
