Update 2/22/14: 100.3 WLML Lake Park went live this week as Adult Standards “Legends 100.3“.
Musicians Jill & Rich Switzer are hosting the morning show from 6-10am. Walt Pinto, a long time associate of Robinson at Hartford radio stations and the Connecticut School of Broadcasting is in middays from 10am-2pm. Longtime West Palm Beach personality Lorna O’Connell hosts afternoons, and owner Dick Robinson follows in nights.
Robinson is putting his money where his mouth is with the station. In addition to hosting a weekly syndicated Standards program, he is founder of the Society For The Preservation of the Great American Songbook.
Original Report 10/15/13: The highest bidder in FCC Auction 94 has revealed its plans for its soon to launch station in West Palm Beach.
Robinson Entertainment, owned by Connecticut School Of Broadcasting founder Dick Robinson and his children James, Missy, and Jill, bid $2,015,000 for a Class A frequency licensed to Lake Park in the auction that concluded in May. The station was granted its Construction Permit in August for a facility that it will operate with 4kW at 115 meters giving it city-grade coverage of West Palm Beach.
In September the station was granted WLML-FM as its call letters, which we now know are meant to help brand the station as “Where Legendary Music Lives“. A website at LegendsRadio.com has been launched to introduce “Legends 100.3” to the market. The station promotes musicians such as Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, and Diana Krall among its core.
No date has been set for the station’s launch.

Congratulations to Dick Robinson and everyone associated with The New Legends 100.3 FM.
It’s good to see this format being done on FM. Many have assumed that this music would only work on AM. I have disagreed with that conclusion for a long time.
I hope the station will be successful and it will be available both on the air in Palm Beach County Florida and online for a long time.
