With the closing of the sale of 1510 KCKK Littleton/93.7 K229BS Loveland, CO from 4K’s LLC to Hunt Broadcasting, Mile High Sports has lost its LMA on the station.

After two days off the air, the Mile High Sports programming has quickly relocated to Cedar Cove Broadcasting’s 94.1 K284BR Golden and Lincoln Financial’s 107.5 KQKS-HD2. The translator is licensed to operate with 24 watts at 216 meters and licensed to rebroadcast EMF’s 91.1 KLDV Morrison, CO.

Mile High Sports is the flagship station of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche’s Altitude Radio Network but sublicenses most of the games to Lincoln Financial Media’s 104.3 KKFN and 950 KRWZ.

1510 and 93.7 are currently off the air, but we expect they will return with a music format. 937TheRock.com is registered to new owner Phillip Hunt. Hunt Broadcasting paid $1.6 Million in December for KCKK and K229BS.

On Tuesday night, Mile High Sports Radio debuted on its new home, at FM 94.1 on the dial. The move came less than 48 hours after MHSR went off of the air due to a change in ownership of the signals that previously carried their content.

“We wanted to make sure we were back on the air as quickly as possible,” said MHSR president James Merilatt. “We have a great, loyal listener base, so we didn’t want to disappoint them by not having their favorite shows available.”

Now, every show on the station will be available again for sports fans in Denver.

“The phone has been ringing off the hook the past few days,” added Merilatt. “People really, really missed being able to listen to Mile High Sports Radio.”

Now that the station is back on the air, listeners will be able to enjoy MHSR’s brand new weekday lineup. “Drive Time with Eric Goodman and Mike Pritchard” has moved to morning drive (7a-9a), “The Press Box with Peter Burns” is now Denver’s only live and local show in mid-morning (9a-11a), “The
Brandon Spano Show” can be heard in early afternoons (2p-4p) and “Danny and Cello” move into the afternoon drive slot (4p-6p).

“We have the most live and local shows in Denver,” Merilatt explained. “We give Denver sports fans what they want – the chance to talk about Denver sports. Our new lineup maximizes our ability to dothat, putting great shows throughout the day from early morning to late at night.”
