Northern Lights Broadcasting Alternative “Go 96.3” KTWN-FM Edina/Minneapolis has filled out its airstaff highlighted by the hiring of former “89.3 The Current” KCMP middayer Barb Abney for the same daypart.
Abney exited KCMP a few weeks ago in a high-profile firing just days after the station’s tenth anniversary celebration. Abney will host 8am to 12pm at “Go“, a shift that will move down an hour once a morning show is in place. Remaining from the station’s previous “K-Twin” days are Brian ‘BT’ Turner hosting a specialty show from 12-1pm and Jason Nagel from 1-4pm. Local musician Linnea Mohn and Thorn Skroch will host afternoons from 4-8pm. Skroch was the original Music Director at KCMP and has also worked at “Rev 105” and “Cities 97” in the Twin Cities.
