Update 6/30: When WBOW-FM is transferred to Midwest Communications tomorrow, the new “Q102.7” branding will be accompanied by a Country format and WDWQ call letters.
Original Report 6/28: While awaiting the closing of its purchase of 1300 WBOW and 102.7 WBOW-FM Terre Haute, IN, Midwest Communications will begin LMA’ing the stations on Sunday, July 1 at 12:00am.
While 1300 will shift from ESPN Radio to Fox Sports Radio, it is unclear exactly what format will replace AC on the FM although we do know it will be branded as “Q102.7” as Q1027.com was moved to Midwest’s servers this week.
WBOW-FM Morning Host Kyle West has blogged that the existing 102.7 staff will be departing after Friday.
