Former “Magic 96.5” WMJJ midday host Ericka Woode is hosting mornings. The station is promoting “No-Repeat Workdays” from 9am to 6pm daily. New WEZZ call letters are in place.
Original Report 11/15: Summit Media Variety Hits “97.3 Y’all” WZNN Gardendale/Birmingham is on the move.
The format, which has been heard as a placeholder on 97.3 since July, is now simulcasting on 1320 WENN/102.1 W271BN Birmingham and promoting that it will be moving to 102.1 on-air. Those station had been running a Classic Hip-Hop format branded as “Power 102.1“.
It appears the permanent format on 97.3 WZNN will be Soft AC branded as “Easy 97.3“. Easy973.com is now parked on the servers of radio station web host Intertech Media with a private Facebook page created for that brand as well. Additionally, a trademark was filed for “Easy 97.3” by an SL Media of Birmingham in July. As we reported when Y’all first launched, Easy973.com was registered by a Summit Media employee along with a few other potential brand names.
