Update 5/25: In addition to hosting afternoons at WMMQ, Lersch is also joining Townsquare Country 100.7 WITL-FM Lansing as morning cost under the name ‘MJ’.
Lersch joins incumbent co-host Kristen Matthews filling the opening created by the departure of Tom ‘Cadillac Jack’ Kapsalis in February to join “Hell Yeah 93.7” WHEL Fort Myers FL.
Original Report 5/24: After three years out of radio, Matthew ‘Mojo’ Lersch has returned to Lansing MI radio as afternoon host on Townsquare Media Classic Rock 94.9 WMMQ.
Lersch previously spent twenty three years at the Rubber City Radio Group turned Midwest Communications cluster first at Alternative “92.1 The Edge” WWDX as evening and morning host followed by sixteen years at Rock “Q106” WJXQ where he would rise to Program Director until his exit in 2019.
Mojo becomes the one local voice on WMMQ, whose lineup also includes the syndicated Free Beer & Hot Wings in mornings, Townsquare’s national voicetracker Jen Austin in middays, and Ultimate Classic Rock with Uncle Joe Benson at night.
