The station is cloning the news clock utilized by CBS Radio’s 880 WCBS New York including Traffic & Weather on the 8’s and Sports at :15 and :45. The station is utilizing content from CBS News, Bloomberg, and The Weather Channel.
Original Report 9/12: Jet Broadcasting Rhythmic CHR “Jamz 92.3/103.9” WXIS Erwin/92.3 W222AG Johnson City TN has pulled the plug on its format and is now stunting with a heartbeat.
WXIS and its translator cover the southern half of the Tri-Cities market serving Bristol VA, Johnson City, and Kingsport TN. The flip leaves Bristol Broadcasting’s “Electric 94.9” WAEZ Greeneville as the only CHR in the market.
The stunting at WXIS comes a week after sister Classic Country “1420 The Legend” WEMB Erwin flipped to Sports “NBC Sports Tri-Cities“. WEMB is carrying a local show from 12-2pm hosted by Marky Billson.
