Original Report 5/1: On the heels of relaunching “Cat Country 101.9” KATP Amarillo as “101.9 Blake FM” in January, Townsquare Media is set to bring the current intensive brand to Lubbock, TX.
995BlakeFM.com has been registered by the company for use at Country “99.5 The Bear” KQBR Lubbock. KQBR’s 4.0 share trailed well behind Wilks Broadcasting’s 96.3 KLLL’s 10.3 in the Fall 2011 book. We haven’t confirmed it yet, but theare are many messages on the station’s Facebook page that the entire airstaff was let go on Friday including PD/Afternoon host Kidd Manning and morning hosts Rick Gilbert and Jane Prince-Jones.
“Blake FM” is a jockless, current-intensive Country format designed by Folger Media.
