Stephens Media Group is purchasing LKCM Radio’s four stations in Ardmore OK for an undisclosed amount.
Involved in the deal are Rock “92.7 The X” KTRX, Country 95.7 KKAJ, Classic Hits “GTO 107” 107.1 KYNZ and Sports 1240 KVSO.
Stephens Media Group operates clusters in Tulsa OK and Massena, Ogdensburg, Rochester, and Watertown NY. LKCM retains its stations in suburban Dallas, Las Vegas, and Wichita Falls TX.
SMG-Ardmore LLC has agreed to acquire four outlets in Ardmore, OK, from LKCM Radio Group LP. Terms were not disclosed. Included in the deal are 1kW Country KVSO-AM (1240), 50kW Country KKAJ-FM (95.7), 24.5kW Classic Hits KYNZ-FM (107.1) and 5.5 kW Rock KTRX-FM (92.7). The seller, LKCM Radio Group, also owns stations in Dallas, Wichita Falls and Las Vegas. The buyer, SMG-Ardmore, is headed by David Stephens and also owns stations in Oklahoma and New York.
