NRG Media Hot AC “Q98.5” KQKQ-FM Council Bluff IA/Omaha NE has dropped its branding after thirteen years and returned to its heritage “Sweet” identity.
KQKQ is now branding as “Sweet 98.5” as “Omaha’s Sweetest Variety”. The station is retaining the current Hot AC format as opposed to the CHR format it held as “Sweet” from 1980 through 2004. Morning hosts Pat & JT remain in place while expanding their show to 5-10am.
KQKQ has returned to the beloved Sweet name that it had for decades.
• The New Sweet 98.5, Omaha’s Sweetest Variety (same Hot AC format), will continue to feature current chart-topping hits, in a fun, up-tempo environment – with added variety and more music, designed to increase the time listeners spend with the station.
• The highly-rated and entertaining Pat & JT in The Morning expand to 5a-10a
• Additionally, The New Sweet 98.5 will continue to deliver legendary, high-profile and exciting promotions for which the station is famous.
