Beasley Media is transferring John Candelaria from Las Vegas to Classic Hip-Hop “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC-FM Detroit.
Candelaria currently serves as Urban Format Captain and OM/PD for Las Vegas market Rhythmic AC “Old School 105.7” KOAS Dolan Springs AZ and Hot AC “Star 107.9” KVGS Meadview AZ. Prior to joining Beasley in 2012, Candelaria spent a decade as OM/PD of Radio One’s Dallas cluster.
He succeeds Al Payne at WMGC-FM, who exits the station. Payne joined WMGC-FM in September 2016 soon after the format’s launch.

Candelaria currently serves as the company’s Urban Format Captain and most recently worked as the Operations Manager and Program Director at Beasley Media Group’s KOAS-FM and KVGS-FM in Las Vegas. Previously, he was the morning host for KOAS-FM and was responsible for the successful launch of Hot 95.5/93.1, Throwback Hip Hop and R & B in Augusta, Georgia.
