Cumulus Media Eugene OR has appointed Kathy Smith as its VP/Market Manager.

Smith joins Cumulus from Alpha Media Portland where she served as General Sales Manager since October 2015. She began her radio industry career in 1994 as an Account Executive for Jacor Communications before jumping to Fisher Communications in 1997. Upon the sale of their Portland radio assets to Entercom in 2003 she joined that company and rose to Director of Strategic Sales and Marketing and General Sales Manager in 2011 until her 2015 move to Alpha.

Cumulus Media announces that it has appointed Kathy Smith as Vice President/Market Manager for its six radio stations in Eugene, OR. Smith was previously General Sales Manager for Alpha Media’s seven radio stations in Portland, OR. Prior to that, she was Director, Strategic Sales and Marketing, and General Sales Manager for Entercom Communications’ six-station cluster in Portland. Smith holds a B.A. degree in Journalism from The University of Oregon and an M.B.A. from Portland State University. She serves on the Board of Directors of The Madeleine Parish & School in Portland.
