Finger Lakes Radio Group has launched Soft Classic Rock “100.1/104.5 The Lake” on 1550 WCGR Canandaigua NY and translators 100.1 W261DR Victor and 104.5 WW283BF Canandaigua.
Currently running commercial-free and planning to limit advertising to six minutes per hour in the future. The new station will feature “Easy Rock music from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s from artists like the Eagles, Tom Petty, James Taylor and Bruce Springsteen.” The newly launched 100.1 signal will target the eastern half of the Rochester market, while 104.5 serves Canandaigua and parts of the Finger Lakes.
WCGR previously simulcast Classic Rock “101.7 The Wall” WLLW Geneva before stunting this past week as “The Cougar” with a couple hour loop of music “targeted to women on the prowl”.
