Entercom Country “Y108” 107.9 WDSY-FM Pittsburgh has announced it will launch “Y’d Awake” with Stoney Richards, Kristen Buccigrossi and producer ‘Cowboy Curt’ Hughes on January 2.

Richards previously served as APD/MD and afternoon host at WDSY from 1998 through 2014 when he exited to focus more time on his acting career. He most recently had been serving as a fill-in host at Y108 and sister News/Talk 1020 KDKA. He has also worked in Detroit, Cleveland and Washington DC during his career. Buccigrossi has worked in the cluster since 2008 serving as a promotions assistant and fill-in host, while Hughes joined the station in January 2018 as producer for the previous “Broadway’s Backyard” morning show.

Entercom, the #1 creator of live, original, local audio content in the United States, announced Stoney Richards’ return to Y108 (WDSY-FM) in Pittsburgh as morning drive co-host beginning on January 2. In this role, Richards will co-host “Y’d Awake,” which will also feature co-host Kristen Buccigrossi and producer Cowboy Curt. “Y’d Awake” will air weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET.

Richards has most recently held fill-in on-air roles for the station, as well as for sister station NewsRadio 1020 KDKA (KDKA-AM) in Pittsburgh. He previously held an on-air role for Y108’s afternoon drive and served as the station’s Assistant Program Director and Music Director from 1998 to 2014.
