After a few years as Classic Hip-Hop based, iHeartMedia’s “V101.5” WSOL-FM Brunswick GA/Jacksonville FL has returned to its heritage Urban AC position.
The station is now positioning as “Today’s R&B and Throwbacks” with an increased amount of recurrents and a playlist centered on 1990s and 2000s R&B. No on-air lineup changes accompanied the repositioning.
WSOL-FM was seventh in the Jacksonville market with a 5.1 share in the December Nielsen Audio ratings. The move puts the station back in direct competition with Cox Media Group’s “Hot 99.5” W258CN/WOKV-HD2.
