Hubbard Radio Chicago has announced the appointment of Jimmy Steal as Vice President of Branding & Content for Hot AC “101.9 The Mix” WTMX.

Steal joins WTMX after 20 years in Los Angeles overseeing Rhythmic CHR “Power 106” 105.9 KPWR and later Classic Hip-Hop 93.5 KDAY for Emmis and then Meruelo Media. He also served as Vice President of Programming and National Digital Program Director for Emmis until KPWR’s sale in 2017. He has also served as Vice President of Programming for Clear Channel Dallas and Program Director of “Q102” 101.9 WKRQ Cincinnati during his career.

Steal fills the opening created by the exit of Mary Ellen Kachinske in November.

At KPWR/KDAY Music Director Emmanuel ‘E-man’ Coquia will serve as Interim Program Director.

Hubbard Radio Chicago’s Vice President Market Manager, Jeff England, announced today the appointment of Jimmy Steal as Vice President of Brand and Content WTMX (101.9 THE MIX). Steal comes to Hubbard Radio Chicago from Meruelo Media Los Angeles, where he served for the past year and a half as Vice President of Programming for rhythmic CHR KPWR (Power 106) and classic hip-hop KDAY (93.5) Los Angeles. Prior to that, Steal spent 18 years with Emmis Los Angeles where he held the titles of Power 106 LA Program Director, Emmis National Digital Program Director and Emmis Vice President of Programming.  Jimmy’s career includes Director of Programming and Operations for Clear Channel Dallas. Steal also held programming positions at WKRQ Cincinnati and WXXL Orlando.
