In exchange for paying $18,718 to the IRS on Butler’s behalf, Lykins will increase his ownership stake from 50% to 62% in Alternative “104.9 The X” KXNA Springdale, 1190 KREB Bentonville/100.5 K263CB Springdale, and 1390 KFFK Rogers/100.7 K264DA Bentonville with the licenses transferred from Butler Broadcasting Company to Rex Radio Group. Lykins will also acquire Butler’s full stake in Ol Timey Broadcasting and their “Red Dirt Country 106.1” 1250 KRRD/106.1 K291CK Fayetteville as Butler did not have the money to put up for his 50% of the $125,000 purchase in 2017.
Terry Forcht’s FTG Broadcasting acquires Country “101.9 Nash Icon” WKFC North Corbin KY from Randy Michaels’ Radioactive LLC for $300,000. FTG will also acquire 950 WYWY/93.3 W227CD and Hot AC “Mix 96.1” WKKQ Barbourville from Lincoln-Garrard Broadcasting in a deal not yet filed with the FCC. Lincoln-Garrard has operated WKFC via TBA since 2011.
