After exiting Hubbard Radio Country “98.9 The Bull” KNUC Seattle rather than move from mornings to afternoons, Tim Leary is remaining with the company to join Country 103.1 WIRK Indiantown/West Palm Beach in mornings.
Leary will join current midday host Chelsea Taylor for the new WIRK morning show. Taylor and afternoon host Sammy Cruise had been pulling double-duty in mornings since the station dropped Brooke & Jubal’s syndicated show earlier this year. Leary had joined KNUC in February 2018 after seven hears at “Bob 106.9” WUBB Savannah GA. He has also worked at 99.5 WGAR Cleveland, 98.1 WCTK Providence RI, and 94.5 KUUB Reno during his career.
Taylor has spent her entire radio career at WIRK since joining the station in 2012. She previously co-hosted mornings with JD & Tiny before the addition of Brooke & Jubal in 2016.
Hubbard Radio WIRK (Country) has tapped Country Radio vet Tim Leary to wake-up West Palm Beach. Leary will pair with WIRK’s home-grown sweetheart Chelsea Taylor for a live, local and entertaining morning show for country music fans. Tim has an extensive country radio background most recently as the morning host at Hubbard Radio Seattle’s KNUC “98-9 The Bull”, and prior to that he spent seven years as morning host at country WUBB in Savannah.
“When you meet Tim, you can’t help but feel his passion for Country Radio. His enthusiasm and hunger to engage his listeners and community is just what we were looking for. Pairing Tim with Chelsea who was born and raised locally and loves country music as much as Tim does is sure to be winning combo” said Hubbard Radio West Palm Beach SVP/Market Manager, Elizabeth Hamma. Operations Manager, Leo Baldwin added, “From the second we met Tim, we knew he was the right guy for the job and then when he met Chelsea, we immediately knew we had the right show. We are thrilled to welcome Tim to our West Palm Beach family.”
Leary commented, “I am so unbelievably excited to come to such a legendary station as WIRK! I can’t wait to kick the show up in West Palm with Chelsea Taylor and work with Elizabeth Hamma, and Leo Baldwin! Thanks to Ginny Morris, Drew Horowitz, David Bestler, Greg Strassell, Jim Robinson…and THANK YOU to everybody who called, texted, and messaged me over these past weeks. You have no idea how much it has meant to me!”
