Hubbard Radio Hot AC “101.9 The Mix” WTMX Skokie/Chicago IL has announced the return of Chris Petlak to serve as evening host and Director of Digital Content.

Petlak previously worked at WTMX from 2008 to 2016 moving up from promotions assistant to eventual Social Media Manager for Hubbard Chicago. He also contributed to the then Eric & Kathy morning show. Since leaving he has worked for Ryan Seacrest Enterprises and Liquid Advertising in Los Angeles. Petlak also co-created and starred in The Jamz, a webseries about a fictional Chicago radio station.

Petlak takes the evening slot held by Chris Reese until his exit in March.

Hubbard Radio Chicago’s 101.9 THE MIX Vice President of Brand and Content, Jimmy Steal, announced today the appointment of Chris Petlak as On-Air Night Personality / Director of Digital Content at WTMX (101.9 THE MIX).  Petlak comes to Hubbard Radio Chicago as the co-creator, co-executive producer, writer and lead on the TV series The Jamz on Amazon Prime and Apple TV and co-hosts the Not From Here podcast.  Chris is an accomplished musician and Stand Up comedian having appeared at The Comedy Store LA, Flappers and The Ice House. Chris also worked at Liquid Advertising in Los Angeles, where he served as Associate Creative Director for key clients like SEGA, Square-Enix and Blizzard.  

Petlak says, “Returning home to join THE MIX and work for Hubbard Radio Chicago is an honor. I couldn’t be more excited to work with Jimmy, Jeff, Eric, Dave and the entire team at a station with such a strong Chicago legacy. Our first stop will be Lou Malnati’s, but after that – it’s time to get to work.”

Back in 2011, Chris served as our first Social Media Manager as well as a contributor to Eric in the Morning.
