The FCC has proceeded with the deletion of the licenses of Entertainment Media Trust’s four AMs in the St. Louis area after last month’s decision to dismiss their license renewals. The stations are Talk/Classic Country 1190 KQQZ Fairview Heights IL, Oldies 1430 KZQZ St. Louis, Talk 1490 KFTK East St. Louis IL, and Silent 1510 WQQW Highland IL.
However the FCC is placing a freeze on modification applications seeking to eliminate any protection towards those stations in anticipation of a future decision potentially allowing for the acceptance of mutually exclusive applications for the frequencies or a potential auction filing window. All filings will be required to continue protect the contours of those four deleted licenses.

The FCC has also announced that any stations that have established temporary shared news gathering partnership during the current pandemic do not need to be put into writing and placed in their public files.
