Two personalities at iHeartMedia Country 99.5 WGAR Cleveland are trading dayparts.
Program Director/afternoon host Carletta Blake will move to mornings joining Steve Wazz for the rebranded “Wazz & Carletta Mornings” as LeeAnn Sommers will shift to the 3-7pm afternoon slot.
Sommers had been part of WGAR’s morning show since joining the station in 2010. The Cleveland area native previously worked at multiple stations in the Cleveland and Akron markets before a five year stint in Denver from 2005-2010. Blake joined the station in March 2019 after programming WNCB Raleigh and WRNS-FM Kinston NC. In a Facebook post by Blake, she mentions that the time period swap was done to accommodate Sommers after recently adopting her daughter.
The changes will take effect on Tuesday, May 26.
