A year and half after exiting mornings iHeartMedia CHR “106.1 Kiss-FM” KBKS Seattle, Bender Cunningham is returning to the cluster to join Jodi Brothers in mornings at Classic Hits “95.7 The Jet” KJR-FM.
Bender hosted mornings at KBKS from 2000 until October 2018. He previously served as PD/morning host at “Mix 103.7” WMXB Richmond VA and has worked on-air “B94” WBZZ and “96.1 The River” WDRV Pittsburgh, “Z100” KKRZ Portland and WHTZ New York. Jodi Brothers has been part of the KJR-FM morning show since 2011 and previously was part of the Bob Rivers Show on 102.5 KZOK.
Bender fills the slot that had been held by Marty Riemer until being part of iHeartMedia’s January layoffs.

“95.7 The Jet Mornings with Jodi & Bender,” starring legendary hosts Bender and Jodi will discuss the latest entertainment and lifestyle headlines – keeping a sharp focus on the Great Pacific Northwest region.
Renowned on-air personality Bender previously served as a morning host on 106.1 KISS FM, where he became one of the most impactful on-air personalities in the Seattle region. In addition, he is known for giving back to his community by leading 106.1 KISS FM’s annual One Big KISS for Seattle Children’s Hospital Radiothon, which has raised close to one million dollars annually.
“After 19 months, I’m excited to get back on the air… and with Jodi,” said Bender. “COVID-19 has had a sweeping impact across the country with so many friends being affected. While feeling extremely empathetic to those currently out of work, I’m also grateful for the opportunity to get back on the air to serve the community and help guide them through current moments like this.”
Jodi has been a voice in the Seattle community for more than 20 years and on 95.7 The Jet since 2011. Throughout her on-air career, she previously hosted mornings with Marty Riemer and was an on-air personality on “The Bob Rivers Show.”
“I’ve known Bender for years, and I’m excited to get to work with him, blending our experience and our styles,” said Jodi. “I anticipate having a blast together, and I can’t wait to get started. Now is a great time to give people something friendly, fun, informative and local for Seattle.”
“Putting Jodi and Bender together gives 95.7 The Jet a dynamic morning show that will be entertaining and provide civic values to our great city of Seattle,” said Robert Dove, Market President for iHeartMedia Seattle. “Whether it’s Seafair or Seattle Children’s Hospital, Jodi, Bender and KJR will be there to shine a light on the good things happening in the Emerald City.”
“Jodi and Bender are an amazing addition to 95.7 The Jet and embody the ‘Feel Good’ vibe of this station and this city, and I can’t wait for them to get started,” said Chris Sargent, Program Director for 95.7 The Jet.
