Forever Media has combined its two Pittsburgh area Country stations into a simulcast.
“Froggy 94.9” WOGG Oliver, which serves the southern side of the market, and “Froggy 104.3” WOGI Moon Township covering Pittsburgh and west, will now simulcast. The stations previously had separate morning shows.
With the change, WOGI morning host Erika ‘Ali Gator’ Hink will now be heard on WOGG. The stations previously shared midday host Dave ‘David Hopperfield’ Anthony and afternoon host Jeremy ‘Danger’ Mulder. Anthony, who already programmed WOGI adds WOGG, as Scott ‘James Pond’ Alexander exits as PD/morning host of WOGG.
Alexander joined Forever in November 2015 after 13 years at CBS Radio Hot AC “Star 100.7” WBZZ with time as APD/MD and hosting middays and afternoons. He has also worked in the market at Classic Hits 94.5 WWSW and defunct Hot AC “Variety 96.1” WVTY.
In the May 2020 Nielsen Audio ratings, WOGI held a 1.3 share while WOGG added an additional 0.9 as the third Country brands in the market behind Entercom’s “Y108” WDSY at 4.5 and iHeartMedia’s “Big 104.7” WPGB at 4.1.
