Entercom Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM Detroit is filling the morning slot held by the late Jamie Samuelsen, with former NFL offensive lineman Jon Jansen.
Jansen, who played for Washington from 1999-2008 and the Detroit Lions in 2009, has co-hosted the station’s Sunday NFL pregame show and guest co-host from WXYT-FM since 2017. He will join Mike Stone and Heather Parks on the newly minted “Stoney and Jansen” starting Monday, October 5.
He fills the slot created by the untimely death of Jamie Samuelsen in August at the age of 48. WXYT renamed their studio as “The Samuelsen Studio” in honor of Samuelsen on Thursday.
