Gateway Creative Broadcasting has announced it will acquire 95.5 WFUN-FM Bethalto IL/St. Louis from Radio One for an undisclosed price.
Gateway will move the Christian Rhythmic “Boost Radio” programming to 95.5 from the trimulcast of 94.1 KPVR Bowling Green, 97.7 KHZR Potosi and 101.9 K270BW Bellefontaine on January 4, 2021 under Time Brokerage Agreement ahead of closing.
The deal follows Radio One’s trade involving the remainder of its St. Louis cluster including the intellectual property of Adult R&B “95.5 The Lou” to Entercom on Thursday.
Gateway Creative Broadcasting also owns Christian AC “99.1 Joy-FM” KLJY Clayton in the St. Louis market.
St. Louis radio is getting a BOOST. Gateway Creative Broadcasting (99.1 JOY FM/BOOST RADIO) is acquiring 95.5 fm in St. Louis from Urban One. The asset purchase is subject to FCC approval. The frequency will be the new home for BOOST RADIO, featuring POP, HIP HOP AND HOPE.
With a population count coverage of two million people, 95.5 will expand the BOOST footprint and outreach potential. Gateway Creative Broadcasting expects to launch BOOST on 95.5 fm January 4, 2021 under a time brokerage agreement.
